Communication and Collaboration Tools
You may not use all of these tools, but it is good to know what they mean and what they are used for.
Slack - how we communicate internally with other team members including as larger groups in channels.
Outlook - how you get your email.
JH Admin - the system where all our web projects are managed.
Wombat Wiki - a place for safe keeping some information. All Professional Services team members have access to the wiki. Anyone on the promo team needing a password from the Wiki can contact Darren.
HubSpot - our CRM of choice for both sides of the business.
Zoom - our preferred virtual meetings provider. Teams is also used on occasion.
Paylocity - our HRIS system where you can find your pay information, submit PTO and take your surveys.
EASE - where you manage your health benefits.
Gravie - where you access your active medical benefits.
UNUM - where you access your dental, vision and voluntary benefits.
DiSC Catalyst - the platform and tool we use to help better understand different personality types and improve interactions, communication, and team dynamics.
JH-Isms/Acronyms
Just like our tools, you might not use these isms/acronyms, but you will probably hear them!
EMT - our technical team. This team handles both internal technology support as well as support for our development team (DevOps).
DEV - short for development. This team makes our platform and websites come to life.
DMS - short for Digital Marketing Specialists. This team handles all our digital marketing campaigns including search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), social media and more!
Wiki - shorthand for Wombat Wiki, see above.
Wombat Juice - our code base for all things web at JH. It's our proprietary platform, you can learn more about it in this blog post.
MOCE - is our ecommerce platform. We know ecom backward and forward. You can see more about it's capabilities and offerings on this website.
SOW - scope of work or schedule of work. These are the fine details about your web project.
CommonSku - this is the platform our merch team uses to present quotes and process orders.
YPP - short for Your Promo People. This is our merch side of the business. The name isn't used as frequently these days but was a pillar of our business for many, many years.
HRIS - Human Resources Information System. We use Paylocity, see above.
